This frizz fix conditioner Umberto Giannini arrived packaged in a frosted plastic bag to prevent messy leakages and is contained within a 250ml squeeze bottles that open at the base for convenient use. The conditioner is designed to help hydrate dry / damaged hair by sealing in moisture and works well with my long, wavy hair which is quite dehydrated at the ends due to colouring.

The conditioner uses a vegan keratin bond repair technology, rich in peptides and is a plant based alternative formulated from a byproduct of milk thistle which helps repair damaged hair, coconut oil for a moisture boost which reduces frizz and vitamin E to help the health of your hair. The moisturising formula is made with 94% natural ingredients which effectively locks in hydration for softness and shine.

It is safe for coloured hair and leaves my hair feeling soft and nourished as well as very manageable without any added weight. The formula is suitable for curly hair and helps enhance waves as it doesn’t use sulphates, silicone or parabens which is great. The conditioner has a eucalyptus / lavender scent which is very pleasant and has a good consistency (not too runny or thick) making it easy to run through my hair and detangle effectively. Make sure that you work it into the hair strands properly and rinse out thoroughly to avoid any residues.

I was able to style my hair as normal without any issues leaving it frizz free and I haven’t had any adverse reactions to the conditioner. The conditioner is 100% vegan and cruelty free and is made in the UK. Priced at £9.95 at the time of reviewing, which I think I reasonable for the quality, but it isn’t the largest bottle at 250ml. It does however contain good quality nourishing ingredients and it left my hair feeling nourished, less dry at the ends and more manageable with a soft, smooth finish.

This conditioner is very nice to use. It applies smoothly to the hair and you can feel an instant detangling effect. My hair was much easier to brush afterwards. It did not irritate my sensitive scalp or leave any noticeable residue on the hair.

I don’t think the bottle says what scent it is supposed to have but it smells vaguely botanical.

My only complaint is that it is virtually impossible to read most of the writing on the bottle, particularly the ingredients, which are printed in tiny pink writing on a grey background, so if you need to check for allergens you have to look on the website.

This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.

In terms of quality, the conditioner has a nice, even texture - not too thick or runny. I was able to run it through all of the mid-lengths and ends of my very thick, and long hair, without too much trouble (I also used a wet detangling comb, to help coat the strands evenly). I would describe the scent as mildly herbal, and quite pleasant, though it doesn’t linger in the hair.

After using both the shampoo (which I have also reviewed), and the conditioner, I allowed my hair to air-dry, without using any heat or additional styling products. My hair has been left soft, shiny and a little bit more manageable.

Overall, a good value item.

I have that annoying in-between hair - not curly but definitely not straight either, the sort that if given the right anti-frizz treatment will look quite wavy. I had high hopes for this conditioner (along with the associated shampoo which I'm also reviewing) as it's a relatively well known "name".
As a conditioner, it works exactly how you'd expect it to - it's just runny enough to easily smooth through your wet hair, has a pleasant smell (it smells vaguely of lavender to me), and rinses away easily. My hair did feel relatively soft afterwards, though honestly I didn't notice any big improvement in the amount of frizz.
The writing on the tube is very small, white and difficult to read. When (like me) you have to wear reading glasses, trying to work out which tube is which in the shower is SO difficult - the part that says conditioner has a solid white background, so I have to remember which of them that is when I come to use them! I do think this is a bit expensive for the size of the tube, but if sulphate/silicon free and vegan is important to you, it's probably worth it.

I have thick wavy 2c hair, which is prone to frizz, and use this conditioner with the Frizz fix shampoo, the Umberto Giannini curl jelly if I want to keep my wave, or the Frizz Out styling creme if I'm straightening it.
This conditioner is viscous, with a pleasant scent, i think it's supposed to be eucalyptus but it's not too strong. It applies nicely to hair, and detangles as expected. My hair does feel smoother after it's dried. The bottles of shampoo and conditioner look the same so i think it would be better to have a slight difference to make sure you don't pick up the wrong one in the shower. The bottle has a wide base, so it stands easily, and the colourway of the packaging is subtle. The product has a 12m shelf life after opening

I like these, and will continue to use.
